PEACHY CRAFT NIGHT: MESSAGE IN AN EGG

April 9, 2012 1:21 pm

Hi there! I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend and have enjoyed spoiling yourselves. For the next 365 days it’s a, ‘should I, shouldn’t I’, chocolate battle.

So, another craft night down and yet again we’ve been inspired by the pin boards shared on Pinterest. We’ve just started our ‘Craft Night Ideas’ board where Natalie, Lisa and I can pin things we’d like to make each week. Voting on which one we actually do is another post altogether. Half the time we leave it till the last minute, but Pinterest has never let us down, there’s always something awesome we could make.

This week we made decorative Easter eggs with secret messages hidden inside them. It was the messiest craft night to date – we each had a glass of wine, so it that probably didn’t help.

To make the decorative egg we made a small hole at the top and bottom of the egg using a pin, blew the egg out (this takes ages), then painted the shell. Once the paint was dry we rolled our small message and slipped it inside through the hole. The tutorial on how to make these eggs is on Poppytalk’s blog. I urge you all to give their blog a browse.

That night we also had a good old natter about our a magazine we’d like to publish. The only thing we’re not sure about is the name. So far we have: Furry Peach, Proud Peach and Peachey Keen.

What do you think?

We’re all very excited about this! We’ll be looking for writers and contributors, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.

Happy crafting!

Yours truly,

Nina, Nat and Looby
